This was a pretty good movie, but even better story because it is true. For those of you who remember this when it happened in 2003, Aron Ralston was climbing alone, and then in a freak accident found himself with his arm pinned by a large immovable boulder….for five days, with limited water and no way to contact anyone, nor did anyone know where he was.

Not for the weak of stomach, however I believe it is a movie worth watching because it shows a tremendous character development, from reckless arrogance to desperation, hopelessness, struggle, self forgiveness and most importantly… a tremendous will to live and re-brith. I am not so sure many people would be able to do what he did to get himself out of there, but it goes to show- if you want something bad enough, you will find a way.

I felt pretty good at the end and thought it was definitely worth the cost of admission.

It was by Directed by Danny Boyle (Slum Dog Millionaire) and I really believe it will win some awards.
