I hope you guys are ready for some ridiculously good photography. We have nearly all of the Main Division Nominees selected, so I am hoping to post one category every day this week. I am also close to having the semi-finalists selected for the Cell Phone Division.
I can tell that with the more entires, the harder it is going to be to select nominees and semi finalists. I could only narrow it down to about 120 images for Macro. (There were TONs of insects and flowers). I would say that there was another 45+ images that were just great, but I had to eliminate them for very lame technical reasons. (A few had watermarks, or very slight technical errors, such as not in focus, etc). There were too many images for music, so here you go! Thank you for your patience!
Its also important to note that we have had several people attempt to cheat on the Cell Phone contest. (Using SLRs to take Cell Phone Images). There are ways to determine which is what. We have also had a few different people submit the same EXACT image....also not allowed.
I think what I am starting to realize is that it is that there will probably be a good 50-100 images that could win any contest and it is really up to preference of the judges. In any event, I am so impressed with this year's entries.
