This is something that has been on my mind a lot lately. I am trying to understand why we as humans are so resistant to changing. I think everyone has something we would like to do, learn, or become….but for whatever reason…we dont, even when we have goals to and we want to more than anything.

Yesterday I was working on the video, which requires hundreds of choices, where to put what clip, why, how loud, graphics, etc and everything was going smoothly when suddenly, I had to make a decision about something unrelated to the video and my mind shut down…..for about 20 minutes. I felt uncomfortable about the decision, and it made me hesitate….I found myself searching for the most comortable answer, when the most comfortable answer wasnt the correct one. Instead of wondering why we do not change, I am more curious as to what is required to make the right changes and I believe I have narrowed it down to two things:

1. Humility- to recognize we are wrong or insufficient about something.
2. Pain (or sacrificing to overcome certain comfort levels)

If we are resistant to either, chances are we will not learn, grow, or change.

Is there anything else you guys can think of that would be sufficent to learn or grow?
